Explorathor and Explorathor Express (Semi-Covered)

The Explorathor and Explorathor Express are 40 passenger semi-covered zodiac style vessels. They offer a fast and comfortable ride, ideal for families and groups. The bow of these identical vessels has a clear glass roof, slide up windows and comfortable seating. The open observation decks at the stern allow for unobstructed viewing, perfect for photographers.

These vessels were custom designed for marine mammal viewing. Their zodiac style hulls allow for a smoother ride over the water, reducing the chances of passenger seasickness.

Powered by the most fuel efficient engines available, these water jet propelled boats driven by turbo engines exceed emission standard requirements. The benefit to the environment is that they are extremely safe around marine mammals and have a significantly reduced environmental impact. The benefit to our passengers is an even faster, quieter and smoother ride.

Lightship 1 (Open Air)

The Lightship 1 is a 12 passenger open zodiac style vessel. Built to withstand offshore conditions, it has a rigid aluminium hull of the same design used by the Coast Guard for their rescue missions. For the more adventurous, it offers a thrilling open air ride through the waters of the Straight of Georgia, the Gulf and San Juan Islands.

Cruiser suits, hats and gloves are provided for the open vessel rides.
